Leading the way in Green Design

Having only just been completed, 30 Daldy Street establishes a new benchmark in sustainable commercial design. The building has achieved the highest 6 Star Green Star rating and exemplifies world leading practices in sustainability and workplace wellness.

A landmark on Auckland’s waterfront in Wynyard Quarter, the project opened in November 2025 and houses one of New Zealand’s leading telecommunications companies. Composed of two towers joined by a full height glazed atrium, the building delivers expansive open and transitional spaces designed to foster collaboration, wellbeing and productivity.

Designed by FORMiS the building is comprised of two towers connected with a full height glazed atrium. The façade by King Façade International utislises innovative materials such as overlapping copper-look magnesium panels, used as a rain screen, brick slip, and triple low-E glazing with glass fins to optimise light and thermal performance.

With such a high degree of material and compositional detail, selecting architectural hardware that complemented the façades and interior aesthetic was critical to reinforcing the building’s warmth, richness and visual depth.

Finishing Well

The Legge 700 Series in Antique Bronze (ABZ) was specified for the exterior to sit tonally with the bronze coloured aluminium joinery and the magnesium copper panels. Internally, the palette is continued with ABZ Leonardo levers on a round rose, creating a seamless visual transition between doors, walls and floor finishes.

The only exception is in the form of the Briton exit devices. The colour contrast between door furniture and door ensures compliance with BCA requirements on accessibility and access routes – crucial to ensuring safety of the building occupants.
